End Poverty, in partnership with PNB Housing Finance Limited, proudly completed the School Transformation Project, 'Nanhi Kali' at Karkola, Najafgarh Zone, New Delhi.
In a collective effort to deal with community-led village development, specifically focusing on Education, Sanitation, Water Management, and Community Development, End Poverty, in partnership with PNB Housing Finance Limited, proudly completed the School Transformation Project, ‘Nanhi Kali’ at Karkola, Najafgarh Zone, New Delhi.
The inauguration ceremony took place at the revamped Municipal Corporation Primary School (MCPS), Karkola, which was attended by Mr. Amit Singh (CPO, PNB Housing Finance Limited and Director, Pehel Foundation), Mr. Gaurav Sharma (CSR Head, PNB Housing Finance Limited) Mr. Vinod Kaushik (CEO, EP), EP Board Member, Mr. Sudhir Sharma along with other dignitaries, school staff and the students.
Through ‘Nanhi Kali,’ End Poverty and PNB Housing Finance Limited have exemplified the power of partnership and community-driven initiatives. The revamped MCPS operates in two separate batches, catering to underprivileged students with a morning batch for girls and an evening batch for boys; thus, this initiative has positively impacted around 3000 children and 100 teachers in the village.
The school’s transformation led to increased admission rates, reflecting the growing enthusiasm and trust that the community of Karkola Village places in the school’s revamped facilities. Students now have access to a nurturing and well-equipped environment where they can excel academically and thrive personally. We hope that we will be able to cater to many such projects in the future as well, to foster quality education and improve learning outcomes in the country.
